Death of Ballaghaderreen’s John Duffy
Wide spread shock and sadness has been occasioned throughout County Roscommon and further afield at the passing of Ballaghaderreen businessman John Duffy.
John was the popular proprietor of Duffy’s Supervalu in the west Roscommon town and passed away peacefully on Sunday at the Galway Clinic after a short illness.
John is very sadly missed by his loving family, his wife Bernadette, daughters Teresa, Lorna and his son Kevin, son-in-law Brendan, sister Mary, brothers James, Padraig and Joe, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, the staff of Duffy’s Supervalu, Ballaghaderreen and a very large circle of friends.
John will lie in repose in his home Tuesday afternoon from 3 o’clock until 7 o’clock with removal to The Cathedral of the Annunciation & St. Nathy arriving at 8 o’clock (house private at all other times please). Mass of the Resurrection Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock with burial afterwards in Kilcolman Cemetery.
