Dangerous road conditions Thursday
Snow and frost are causing travel disruption on Thursday morning.
AA Roadwatch are advising that the N5 at Frenchpark is in a bad condition due to ice and snow.
The road is blocked (9am) between Tulsk and Ballinagare due to a jack knifed truck.
The N60 between Castlerea and Roscommon also has poor driving conditions.
There have been a number of crashes following hail showers on the M6 Dublin to Galway motorway, a road used by many from Roscommon.
In Sligo, conditions are reportedly icy on secondary roads around Ballymote and Sligo town with snow also a problem.
Roads around Carrick on Shannon and on parts of the N4 are also slippery.
But the good news is milder weather will take hold at the weekend.
