This is the sight that greeted Boyle residents and disheartened a hard working Tidy Towns committee on Saturday morning.
The planter at Christ the King junction in Boyle was upturned over night and dumped on the ground.
It took more than one person to commit this act of vandalism as the planter is heavy.
Boyle is relatively vandalism free and it is important that acts like this are nipped straight away before they become commonplace.
