Plans are being finalised for the “Lough Key Classic” cycling sportive which will take place in Boyle on 17th May.
There will be a 6ok, 120k and a family cycle with further details as the event draws near.
There will be a meeting of the Sportive Committee and any one interested in assisting with the event in Patrick’s Well on Wednesday night at 8.30pm
In other cycling news, club member Joe Mulleady has taken part in a number of early season races to date including the Westport 2 day and the Markievicz Cup last Saturday.
The leisure section of the club will commence their evening spins on Tuesday April 1st from the Boys school at 6pm led by Veronica O’Connor.
Sportive action in the coming weeks for members includes the Skoda Series (5th April) and An Post Tour (5th May) both in Sligo and events in Roscommon 12th April, Donegal 13th April and Ballintubber 21st April.
