Strike action is looming at Roscommon County Council following a meeting of staff yesterday.
A decision has been agreed to ballot for industrial action over unilateral changes being made in the local authority.
Library, Technical, Clerical and Administrative staff and managers all met on Thursday and agreed the course of action.
A notice of intention to ballot will now be served and staff will then be balloted on whither to proceed with industrial action or not.
