A number of celebratory events for the contribution to the area by Fr. Brian Conlon will take place locally in the coming weeks.
Fr Brian is due to undertake further studies in hospital chaplaincy from the end of July.
In Boyle, an evening of celebration will take place on Friday 24th July commencing at 7.30pm in the Family Life Centre.
On the previous Saturday 18th, Fr Brian will be honoured in Drumboylan Community Centre at 9.30pm.
On Saturday 25th, the celebrations continue in Crossna Parish House following 8.30pm Mass.
Fr Brian’s final local Masses will take place in Drumboylan and Cootehall on Sunday 26th.
Later that evening a grand farewell party will take place in a marquee adjacent to Cootehall Church at 8pm
