CAPTAINS DRIVE IN – Sunday the 9th played host to the most well attended Captains Drive In in several years, driven at least in part by the fantastic weather conditions. The Mens’ Captain this year is Shane O’Dowd and Fiona Keenan is the Lady Captain and they were delighted with the number of members who turned out to wish them well for their year in office. Winners on the day were 1st – Lorcan Egan, Jim Callery, Fiona Keenan and Carmel Keenan, 2nd – Bernie Kemple, Niall O’Donohoe, Maura O’Farrell, 3rd – Sinead O’Donohoe, Vincent Egan and Niall Kearney.

CONDOLENCES – Sincere condolences to our Men’s Captain Shane O’Dowd whose father Michael passed away in recent weeks.
MENS FIXTURES – Now that the Drive In has been played, the golfing year starts in earnest with an 18 Hole Stableford for the men next weekend, with the Holmpatrick Cup qualifier on the following weekend (Sunday the 23rd).
ST PATRICKS DAY PARADE – The club is exploring the possibility of putting a float in this years parade for the first time in several years. Please contact Killian Egan if you wish to partake in what promises to be “a bit of craic”. Best of luck to Men’s Competition Secretary Lorcan Egan who is one of the main organisers of this years parade.
