Boyle woman edits new documentary – ‘My Cure and Me’
A documentary edited by Boyle woman Grainne Creighton has been selected to screen at the prestigious Galway Film Fleadh on July 16th.
‘My Cure and Me’ is a short heart warming nostalgic documentary the captures a vanishing Ireland.
It explores the experiences of two elderly , rural Irish faith healers with ‘the cure’, examining a practice steeped in faith and rich in history and folklore.
‘My Cure and Me’ will screen at the Galway Film Fleadh along with Docs Ireland 2023 and the Boyne International Film Festival.
Daughter of well known Boyle publicans Eddie and Sylvia Creighton, London based Grainne is making a name for herself in the film industry.
A professional video editor with over ten years experience and a fine art background, Grainne started making short films while studying a Masters in Film Editing in Goldsmiths University London. Since then, she has worked on a large variety of projects, including commercial, short film and documentaries being sole editor on her latest project – ‘My Cure and Me’
