New fire appliance arrives in Boyle
Boyle Fire Service today took delivery of a new €350,000 fire engine.
Roscommon Fire Service officers joined their Boyle colleagues along with Roscommon County Manger Eugene Cummins, Council personnel and councillors and Cathaoirleach Orla Leyden for the ceremony.
The €350,000 Class B tender will replace the existing appliance which is one of the oldest in the county.
To celebrate the handover, Boyle Fire Service held an open afternoon in the station.
On display was the new white water rescue equipment, new bog land fire suits and new fire kit that the Boyle station has recently taken delivery of.
