Spillane and Fanai on TG4 tonight
If you missed Spillane an Fánaí on TG4 on Tuesday 21st, the programme will be repeated tonight on the same channel at 9pm.
Boyle looks magnificent in the programme.
The series is presented by Cork singer/song-writer John Spillane and follows John on his journey around 6 rural towns in Ireland in search
for inspiration for his song writing.
In this first programme of the series Boyle is John Spillane’s stop in his search for inspiration for his songwriting where he goes to work behind the counter at Wynne’s Bar.
John hears about local singer John Reilly who was responsible for the revival of many songs that had been long forgotten such as ‘Raggle Taggle Gypsy’ and ‘The Well below the Valley’.
John chats with ‘Moone Boy’ himself David Rawle about working on the popular series which was shot in the town.
John also plays a tune at O’Carolan’s grave, discovers the history and folklore at LoughKey Forest Park and visits the historic King House.
