A magical journey and a great weekend came to an end on Sunday morning when a gallant Boyle U14 team lost their semi final game to a stonger Lucan Sarsfields.
The final score was 2-9 to 0-5.
Boyle had reached the semi final after an impressive 6-9 to 0-1 win over Newcastlewest on Saturday evening in Drumcollghrer on the Limerick/Cork border.
There were high hopes among the team and management that the ultimate title was within reach when they took to the field in John Mitchells, Ballyseedy, Tralee at 11.30am Sunday morning.
Unfortunately it was not to be.
The Boyle team were magnificent ambassadors for County Roscommon and their home club in Feile Peile na nOg and should be justifiably proud in reaching the semi final stages of this competition.
