Boyle Basketball Club Under 14 girls have a game this evening Thursday 15th November at 6pm against Ballinamore.
The club have finished their underage training for the Christmas period.
On Saturday last the club hosted lots of league games for 5th and 6th class girls and u14 girls.
The 5th class girls showed some great fighting spirit in their two games but were just unable to snatch the wins.
Ailbhe Kennedy was great at both ends of the court as well as Shona Brogan and Leah Downes.
The u14 girls played Longford Falcons in their game. This well drilled sided who are also playing midland league basketball, were just too good on the day for the Boyle girls.
The stars of the show were the 6th class girls who played Ballinamore in the first game and they won it well with some great work from Aisling Feely and Grainne Rooney.
The second game was against Mohill. Both teams traded baskets for most of the game but Mohill took a point advantage going into the last minute. With 5 seconds on the clock Mohill went back court and Aisling Feely gave a great pass in to the every present Bella King who kept the head and put the ball in the basket to win by a single point.
