Congratulations to local photographer Joe Kennedy who has been shortlisted in this year’s Irish Times Amateur Photographer of the Year competition.
Joe is one of 15 photographers shortlisted in the open category for his image titled ‘Sisters’.
Another Boyle Camera Club member, Anne Costello is also in the running for an award.
Ann’s entry in the colour category is titled “Lazy, Hazy, Summer Days”.
The winners will be announced on July 4th.

It is described a composite of two pictures, one from the distant past and one from the present to create a narrative for the viewer to explore.
