Boyle has continued it’s upward trend of increasing it’s marks in the annual Tidy Town’s competition.
The 2016 awards were announced at a ceremony in the Helix, Dublin at lunchtime on Monday.
Boyle, who are in Category D, increased their overall mark by 10 points to 284 from 274 (2015)
Among the comments of the judges were:
” We commend you on your excellent new engine feature at Chapel Lane”
” Hopefully the Royal Hotel will be acquired and renovated and returned to productive use soon”
” A special mention is necessary to the residents of Plunkett Avenue and Station Road”
“We are pleased to report the standard of litter control is very good”
