Gardaí investigating an incident where a shotgun was discharged at a house at Carton, Kilmore, Co. Roscommon have arrested two men in their 30s.
The incident took place at a house at Carton at 7.30 am on Sunday 12th February.
The woman present in the house was not injured.
Local Gardaí supported by Garda Regional Support Units carried out a number of search operations during the course of the Sunday including a number of premises in the Boyle area.
At 5.30pm on Sunday evening Gardaí arrested two men in their 30s in the Castlerea area and they were detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act, 1939 at Roscommon Garda Station and can be detained for up to 72 hours.
