A tough week on the pitch for many of our teams started Thursday evening where our u14 boys put in a super performance in their Championship semi final vs St Brigids in Abbey Park losing out in the end by 2 points. Ye did us proud lads and many good years to come with this team.
Next up was our McGovern Civils Senior men who played out a tight encounter with Padraig Pearses in Woodmount ultimately coming out the wrong side of the result losing out by 3 points. This result puts them into the Preliminary Quarter Finals where they will take on Castlerea. Fixture tbc
Our weekend continued as the Corrib Oil sponsored Senior Ladies continued their Senior Championship with a loss vs Clann na nGael in Abbey Park Sunday morning.
And finally our weekend of championship action took a turn as Our Cooney Motors Junior team had a superb win over Tulsk with a scoreline of 1-20 to 1-7 this win puts them top spot in their group and will have them seeded when the Quarter final takes place.
