Boyle GAA club weekly news
The McGovern Directional Drilling sponsored Senior team travel to Kiltoom to face St. Brigid’s in the Division 1 league Wednesday at 8pm.
The Cooney Motor’s/ Cooney Centra sponsored Junior team were due to play Fuerty in the Junior B championship last week but was postponed due to a hurling fixture involving Fuerty. They are scheduled to play Kilmore away in the Junior B championship next Friday, please check fixtures for confirmation.
The U-14 Division 1 boys team went down to a stronger St. Dominic’s in the league on Thursday last in the Abbey Park, their next outing is against Strokestown this Thursday at 7:30pm in the Abbey Park.
The U-12 boys Division 4 had a great win over Michael Glaveys in the league Sunday morning. The U-12 Division 1 team are to play Roscommon Gaels in the league this Friday at 7:30pm away.
The club wishes to thank all club members who helped with the smooth running of the Warrior’s Run over the weekend.
The deadline to apply for Dermot Earley Youth Leadership Initiative 2015 is July 19th, open to individuals male and female aged 15-18 years old. The programme is run by the GAA, Foroige and NUI Galway and it aims to give young people the skills and confidence needed to be leaders in their communities and full details can be viewed at http://www.gaaroscommon.ie/
Ladies: Roscommon Ladies U-16 All Ireland Semi Final v Cavan on Wednesday July 15th at 7pm in Ballinamore. Best wishes to Boyle players Sinead Glennon, Aine Mullins, Roisin Wynne, Ruth Cox and Sinead Keeneghan (management team). Boyle host Western Gaels in the Sean Daly Memorial Cup on Tuesday at 7:30pm. Hard luck to the Green Street Veterinary sponsored Intermediate Ladies who narrowly lost out to Kilglass on Saturday evening.
