Boyle Film Editor’s documentary nominated for award

Best wishes to Boyle Film Editor Grainne Creighton and Alleycats Productions whose documentary ‘Patrick: A Young Traveller Lost’ is a nominee in the Royal Television Society Awards Ceremony which will take place in Liberty Hall Theatre, Dublin on Tuesday March 19th.

The highly acclaimed documentary is a nominee in the Factual Single category along with ‘Taking Back Control’, ‘Secret Paecemaker’, ‘Viva Mary’ and ‘Inis Meáin Idir Dhá Linn’.

This year’s entries showcased the pinnacle of talent and creativity in the Irish television industry, with a total of over 130 entries being considered.

Across ten categories, the entries reflect the extraordinary contributions of creators, actors, directors, and production teams that continue to make Irish production globally renowned. From gripping dramas to groundbreaking documentaries, the nominees represent the very best in Irish television content.

Speaking at the announcement of this year’s shortlisted nominees, Agnes Cogan, RTS Republic of Ireland Chair said: “This year’s nominees demonstrate the extraordinary calibre of Irish television content that is continuing to elevate the standards of Irish television. On behalf of the RTS Ireland, I want to congratulate all the nominees on their outstanding achievements and look forward to celebrating their contributions next month.

‘Patrick: A Young Traveller Lost’ was constructed by Gráinne, who is a very successful film editor based in London with a wide portfolio of work.

Most recently, she edited ‘Stalked’, a compelling documentary that was aired on TV3, revealing the devastating impact of stalking through the deeply personal stories of Eve, Una, and Jarlath as they face terrifying stalkers.
