The next Blood donation clinic will take place in St, Joseph’s Hall Boyle on Wednesday 24th October from 4.30 until 8pm.

Tawnytaskin Community Centre present “A Night with Michael Harrington and Guests”.
This live music event will take place on Saturday October 27th commencing at 8pm. Tickets priced at €8 are available from Adam’s Apple, Boyle Credit Union, Ann McGlynn or any committee member. Tea and Coffee served. B.Y.O.B. Proceeds in aid of Tawnytaskin Community Centre.
SOCIAL DANCING IN TAWNYTASKIN
Social Dancing will take place in Tawnytaskin Community Centre on Thursday nights. Jiving, Waltz and Traditional Steps from 7.30pm until 9.30pm for 7 Weeks. Ceili right on the final Thursday November 22nd.

A BRIDGE CLUB CONTINUES WEDNESDAY
Boyle Bridge Club continues for the autumn season every Wednesday and will take place in the Spool Factory on St. Patrick Street from 7.30pm. New members are always welcome.
MEMORIAL PLANNED TO BOYLE WAR DEAD
Work is progressing on a memorial to the 127 men from Boyle who lost their lives in the Great War. Boyle lost more men in the last year of the Great War than in any other year. The memorial will be unveiled on Sunday November 11th at 11am at King House.
GRANT FOR BOYLE CYCLE FRIENDLY INITIATIVE
Boyle Town Team has been awarded €10,000 to assist in making Boyle one of the first cycle friendly towns in Ireland. The money has been allocated under the Healthy Ireland Fund 2018 and is in preparation for the anticipated increase in cycle tourism that will take place in Boyle when the Lough Key to Boyle Greenway is constructed A subcommittee from Curlieu Wheelers Cycling Club has been formed to assist the Town Team in its efforts

GOLFER OF THE YEAR 2018 –
Well done to Tom Kearney who is this years “Golfer of the Year”. Tom had had a great year with several wins and podium places and these have all contributed to his cumulative points total in the overall order of merit used to decide the year’s best golfer. He may well add another title to the collection for 2018 as he is still very much in with a chance in the King Harmon Cup. The Winter 9-hole competition is now up and running. The format is a 9 hole stableford running Monday to Saturday inclusive on a weekly basis, entry is 5 euro, re-entry is 3 euro. This competition runs throughout the winter, weather and course conditions permitting. If you are looking to play but don’t have playing partners arranged, just put up a message on the men’s’ WhatsApp group with your preferred time.
COURTYARD MARKET
The Market takes place every Saturday in the Grounds of King House, Boyle from 10am until 2pm. If you would like to enjoy the best locally grown fresh and organic produce, then a trip to the Courtyard Market should be on your agenda. There is a wide range of seasonal produce.
