An armed raid took place this afternoon at Knockcroghery Post Office in South Roscommon.
A man brandishing a knife got away with a small sum of money.
He made his escape in a sliver or blue hatchback car in the direction of Roscommon.
Gardaí are appealing for information if you noticed anything suspicious in the village.
