Appeal for witnesses to fatal N4 crash
Gardaí are appealing to a female motorist who stopped at last week’s fatal multi vehicle crash on the N4 outside Ballinafad to contact them.
They also want to speak to a motorcyclists who stopped to lend assistance.
Council worker Padraig Noone was fatally injured in road crash involving a number of vehicles and a pedestrian on the N4 at Whitehill in Co Sligo on Thursday last.
The crash occurred on Thursday morning, August 13th, at approximately 11.15am, three kilometres south (Dublin side) of Castlebaldwin.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body removed to Sligo Regional Hospital
A man in his 50s was also airlifted to UCHG and two other men were taken to Sligo Regional Hospital with injuries described as non life threatening.
The stretch of road was closed for a period of time and technically examined.
Gardaí wish to renew their appeal for witnesses or anyone with information, particularly a motorcyclist and a female motorist who stopped to help at the scene, to contact them at Ballymote Garda Station on 071 9189500, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any GardaStation.
