Aaron is popular winner of a successful GAA/Soccer draw
Well known Boyle man Aaron Sharkey was the winner on Sunday evening of the Boyle GAA/Boyle Celtic draw.
Aaron won an all new 212 Nissan Quashqai car worth €35,000, a luxury holiday at Fota Island in Cork worth €3,000, €1,000 holiday spending money plus €3,000 donation to a charity of his choice.
A number of bonus prizes were also won over the three month period since the draw was launched last June.
The selection of the winning ticket, which was picked by Minister Frank Feighan, was the culmination of a three month coordinated and very successful campaign, organised and overseen by a dedicated committee made up from both clubs.
Overall, 3486 tickets were sold with funds raised going towards the further development of both clubs.
David Kelly from Boyle GAA club along with Eddie Conroy, Boyle Celtic, Alan Cooney from Cooney Motors and an independent auditor from Devine & Co were in attendance at the draw.
