A busy weekend at Boyle Tennis Club
Last Saturday was a hive of activity down at the courts in Boyle Community Tennis Club.
Tim Clarke ran his end of season tournament in Boyle with over 40 children competing from his four coaching venues around the locality. Action started at 9am and ran throughout the day.
A big thank you to Tim from all at Boyle Tennis for organising and running the event.
Boyle were well represented by 16 of our junior players who all competed admirably.
Successful Boyle players in the various age categories were Dara Kelly (winner) , Oisin Lavin (runner up), Emma Caslin (plate winner), Colm Lavin (plate winner) & Callum Higgins (plate runner up).
Congratulations to all children who competed.
Separately, Boyle Community Tennis club would like to say how delighted they are that the Club was successful in receiving significant funding in the 2018 Sports Capital Programme Allocations. They would also like to express thanks to all who helped to put the case for funding together and assisted in the process.
They are now hoping to upgrade the courts to a synthetic all-weather surface, which should put an end to dangerously slippy conditions at the first drop of rain.
