The redevelopment of Boyle continues with a number of planning permissions having issued in recent weeks for the Main Street area of the town.
The permissions, in the ‘Boyle Cultural Quarter’, all relate to properties backing on to or facing onto the Boyle river.
This is an area earmarked for development under the Boyle 2040 plan.
Planning permission has issued to Nigel McHugh for conservation and restoration work to a former Bank of Ireland, Main Street Boyle, to include all necessary conservation/restoration and reconstruction works to the existing structure and fabric for the provision of two town houses and ground floor commercial unit including new traditional shopfront, restoration of rear outbuildings, landscaping and improvement works to rear yard.
David Reynolds has received permission for the refurbishment and loft conversion of the existing historic mixed-use building, along with all associated site development works, all to be conducted at his premises at Main Street in Boyle.
Emma Mooney-Wiegersma’s application for permission for change of use and conversion of the existing derelict store/garage building to a single domestic dwelling house has also received permission. The proposal includes all necessary renovation and upgrade works to the building fabric of the Coach House, Knocknashee, Boyle.
A number of other planning applications are understood to soon be submitted, along with building refurbishments that will all add to the regeneration of this area of the town.
