Local Gardai assisted by members of the Armed Support Unit conducted searches of a premises in Boyle on Tuesday morning.
A large number of Gardai were present for the searches.
According to a statement issued to Boyletoday.com from the Garda Press Office: “Searches were carried out by An Garda Síochána in relation to an ongoing investigation in the Boyle area of Co Roscommon yesterday. As this refers to an operational matter, we are not in a position to comment further”.
