The Spool Factory, along with a number of other Technology University of the Shannon (TUS) Learning Gates nationwide, is delighted to announce the commencement of the ‘Monthly Business Speaker Series’ on Thursday January 25th.
Every month (last Thursday of the month from 12 -1pm), members of the business community in the Boyle area can participate in this free online event in the comfort of the Spool Factory Board Room.
Join an informed professional speaker who will speak on a thematic area of interest to the business community nationally while you network with other business people from the area.
The January speaker will be Mr John Finn, Managing Director of Treasury Solutions Ltd. John will speak on “The Outlook of Financial Markets in 2024”.
John Finn is Managing Director of Treasury Solutions Ltd., an independent debt and treasury risk management advisor to the SME and corporate markets. The company has a broad base of domestic and multinational clients covering both public and private sectors and has been involved in structuring debt and risk management deals totalling over €10 billion since its formation.
In 2018 he co-founded The Treasury Hub which is a collaboration with a number of medium-sized accounting firms to provide treasury risk services to their clients.
A Commerce graduate of University College Dublin, John is a Fellow of both Chartered Accountants Ireland and the UK Association of Corporate Treasurers and a member and Past President of the Irish Association of Corporate Treasurers. He is also a non-executive Chairman/Director of a number of Boards.
In his spare time, he is Chairman of the Investment Committee of SHARE which supports independent living for older people in Cork and is a Committee Member of Club Longford, the Longford GAA Supporters Club.
John is a regular contributor to local and national media on economic and financial matters.
