Home Share Roscommon will hold two information sessions in Boyle for homeowners who would like to host a person with an intellectual disability in their home.
The information sessions will be an opportunity for single people, couples, families, empty nesters or retired people to get to know a person, child or adult with an intellectual disability and host them in your home.
Hosting sessions are flexible to the needs of the host and the guest and can be from a few hours to overnights as well as shared living arrangements for adults.
Home sharing is an umbrella term for three types of home sharing arrangements- Short Breaks Scheme, Contract Family Scheme and Shared Living Scheme based on the availability of the host.
Training and support will be provided throughout. Allowances are paid to hosts.
The Boyle Information sessions will take place on Tuesday September 19th:
11am-12.30pm – Boyle Family Resource Centre
7pm – 8.30pm – The Spool Factory Office Suites and Rooms.
