Boyle singer and songwriter Donal O’Connor will perform in concert at Coleman Music Centre in Gurteen on Saturday September 9th at 8pm.
According to Coleman Music Centre: “Donal O’Connor is no stranger to the Coleman Music Centre. We are delighted to host Donal here in the Centre once a year. His concerts are something special and always attended by a very loyal following”.
“Christy Moore who described his first album “It’s About Time” as “a pure joy while Charlie MCGettigan described Donal as one of his favourite song writers”.
Donal will be joined on the night by Matteo Cullen who performs a range of original songs, reflecting the diverse elements of his musicality, including reggae, jazz and blues, Irish traditional and country music. He has recorded and released three albums, and is currently working on a new collection of songs. He also holds a doctoral degree in Irish popular music history.
