Roscommon’s culture celebrated on RTE radio show
Roscommon’s unique and lively culture and identity will be explored on RTÉ Radio 1’s The County Measure including an interview with Bernie Carty from Rathallen in Boyle (pictured).
Join writer and broadcaster Vincent Woods as he rambles across Roscommon on July 30th at 10 AM. The County Measure uncovers the vibrant arts, sports, history, heritage and diverse communities of Co. Roscommon.
From the resplendent beauty of Lough Ree, the echoes of history in Strokestown Park, to the strong bonds of family- Vincent takes a measure of all that the “Rossies County” has to offer.
The programme will feature new and exclusive Roscommon music by Fiachra Guihen and writing by Amy Abdullah Barry.
The County Measure is a landmark RTÉ Radio 1 series that explores the identity and communities of Ireland’s 32 counties.
