Congratulations to ‘Lovage at the Gate Lodge’ in Boyle were were voted ‘Best Newcomer Restaurant’ in County Roscommon at last night’s Irish Restaurant Awards for Connacht.
Lovage was also the winner in the ‘Best Customer Service in Roscommon’ category.
The team at ‘Lovage’ would like to thank all the customers who took the time to nominate them for the awards.
Other winners of local interest included:
Best Chef in Roscommon – Daniel Wilmott from Kilronan Castle.
Best Newcomer in Leitrim – Drumanilra/Honestly Farm Kitchen in Carrick on Shannon.
Best Cafe in Leitrim – Honestly Farm Kitchen.
Best Free From in Leitrim – Honestly Farm Kitchen.
Best Restaurant Manager in Leitrim – Gabriel Camburu from Buffalo Boy.
The awards were held in the Landmark Hotel and attended by over 600 people.
The Awards process began with online public voting followed by judging by a panel of National Experts.
All the winners will now go forward to the All Ireland Awards on September 19th in the Convention Centre in Dublin.
