Congratulations to Boyle Celtic Under 12 girls and coaches on winning the first girls title for the club on Monday evening.
The girls beat Ballisodare 3.1 at McSharry Park to be crowned league cup champions.
According to the club “In a sign of how popular girls football has become in Boyle, this squad of 26 has trained in huge numbers all season”.
“Huge credit to the coaches Bernard Kilroy, Padraig Cunningham and Sam Carty who have worked their magic in giving all of the girls significant game time on the way to the title”.
The winning team arrived back to Boyle on Monday evening and received a Garda escort through the town on their celebratory lap of honour!
