Boyle Camogie
And just like that, the season has ended for Boyle Camogie Club. Huge thanks to all trainers, covid supervisors, parents, supporters & sponsors for all of the help and support throughout the year. Without all of the volunteers, our club would not survive, thank you all! See below a summary of our season:
U14s had a tough year but through hard work & determination, they secured a spot in the C Final. On a dark and wet Tuesday evening they took to the field and battled hard. However it was not to be, and Padraig Pearses brought the trophy home on this occasion. Congratulations to them & well done Boyle. You will be back stronger than ever next year.
Both of our U12 teams played County Finals in Hyde Park on Saturday. Our U12 Leopards had a great game against Tulsk in the E Final. There was a great display of skills from this group and they show great promise for next year, but Tulsk were the better team on the day. Our U12 Cheetahs played their hearts out in the A Final v St Dominic’s. Two very well matched teams meant it was a superb match & a great spectacle. The girls never gave up, it was a proud day for the parish, but sadly it wasn’t Boyle’s day. Final score 2-02 to 0-3.
Our U6/8/10s had a great season of training. They enjoyed the sessions every Wednesday and they’ve built some solid foundations to continue their growth in the game. Thanks to all trainers who kept all the girls busy all year.
