Boyle GAA weekly news update

Club Lotto 

The Online Lotto was drawn on the 12th  of September for €10,500. The numbers drawn were 2, 6, 8 & 26.The jackpot was not won and now stands at €10,600 for next week’s draw, the 12th  of September at 9pm. We had 1 match 3 winner this week with Bernie Shannon winning the €100. Lotto tickets are only available online can be purchased on the Klub Funder website. Senior and Junior Championship 

Our McGovern Directional Drilling sponsored Senior Men have qualified for the quarter finals of this year’s championship as group winners following a three-point victory over Elphin on Sunday afternoon. They now await the outcome of this weekend’s play offs, which will decide their possible opponents on the weekend of 25th/ 26th September.

Boyle LGFA

The M Kerins Construction sponsored Intermediate Ladies were victorious over St Mary’s on Sunday, the game finished on a score-line of 2.09 to 1.08.  Boyle: Ruth Johnson, Suzanne Keenehan, Shauna Moran (0-1), Shannon Kerins, Sophie King, Isabelle King, Megan McKeon, Ruth Cox (0-1), Grace Flanagan, Caoimhe Cregg (1-0), Saffron Cull, Aisling Feely (1-1), Heather Kerins, Kate Harrington (0-6), Michaela Ward. Subs used: Natasha Regan, Sinead Meehan.

The U14 Girls have topped the North Roscommon League Table and are due to play Shannon Gaels in the A Final, it’s provisionally scheduled for September 18, more to follow.

Roscommon LGFA are currently selling Confined Fortnightly fundraising tickets. It is €50 per ticket with 26 chances to win €350, if a purchaser buys their ticket from Boyle LGFA and wins, €150 will come to the Club. If anyone would like to purchase a ticket, send a direct message to the Boyle GAA Facebook page, or reach out to any Committee Member. The first draw has been postponed until later this month.

The Club extends sympathies to the Filan family on the passing of their mother, may she rest in peace.

 

Boyle Hurling Club
My apologies for leaving Boyle hurling out last week. Boyle held a great u9 blitz in Abbey Park on Saturday 5th September. Thanks to Athleague and Roscommon Gaels for taking part. A very enjoyable morning. Thanks to all the parents and coaches, especially Marie who did trojan work
