Roscommon U20 All-Ireland in an All Ireland Final
Very well done to our U20s on beating Down in the Semi Final on Saturday night on what was a massive final quarter to finish strong and power through. I think Roscommon’s 2nd goal will settle a few arguments on the new fly goalie phenomenon ! Congrats to Daire Cregg on winning man of the Match kicking 5 points with 4 from play. The commentary on TG4, while my Gaeilge isn’t completely fluent, words like ‘ar fheabhas‘ and sciliúil were used on his possession and execution.
Roscommon will play Offaly in a novel All-Ireland Final this Sunday in Croke Park as a curtain raiser to Kerry v Tyrone.
Connacht Minor Championship
Hard Luck to our minors on Friday night last in the Final and Congratulations to Sligo who landed the Title, the first in 53 years.
