The number of Covid-19 cases has more than doubled in the Boyle Local Electoral Area.
The latest figures released on Thursday show that the Boyle LEA has had 44 cases reported in the fourteen day period from July6th-July 19th.
The 14 day incidence rate has also increased to 201.5 per 100,000 population.
(The figures for the previous 14 days showed 16 new cases and a 14 day incidence rate of 73.3)
Roscommon LEA has 38 confirmed cases and a 14 day incidence rate of 167.2 while the third LEA – Athlone, has 87 new cases and a 14 day rate of 435.5.
The Carrick-on-Shannon LEA, with a population of half the Boyle LEA has recorded 35 confirmed Covid-19 cases and a 14 day rate of 308.1
