This Friday has been designated ‘Go Purple Day’
This Friday is ‘Go Purple Day’.
Castlerea District Garda Siochana, which includes the Boyle area, are hosting the event to create domestic violence awareness.
It is being held in aid of Roscommon Safelink.
The idea of the day is to start a conversation on domestic violence by wearing something purple this Friday.
An Garda Siochana locally fully support this initiative to create awareness and, in association with An Garda Síochána’s ongoing ‘Operation Faoiseamh’, we want to encourage the reporting of all cases of Domestic Violence and Abuse.
So please wear purple this Friday the 23rd of April 2021 and ‘START THAT CONVERSATION’
Further information on the event is available from Sergeant Maura McGarry in Boyle Garda Station on 071 9664620
