Minister Heather Humphreys to visit Boyle today
Minister for Community and Rural Development Heather Humphreys will be in Boyle today for a number of official engagements.
The Minister will firstly attend the Royal Development on Bridge Street to be briefed on the exciting plans for the building in advance of construction.
She will then travel to visit the Lough Key to Boyle cycleway which will be officially opened later this year.
The Minister will also announce details of her department’s €1 billion Rural Regeneration and Development Fund.
Following the above, Minister Humphreys will meet with a delegation in King House.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, attendance at all events will be limited.
Both the Royal Development and the Lough Key to Boyle cycleway (pictured above) were funded from the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS) and the Rural Regeneration and Development Fund (RRDF), from the Minister’s Department of Rural and Community Development.
Prior to her visit to Boyle, Minister Humphreys will be in Ballagahaderreen to officially publish the Western Development Commission’s viability report into transitioning the Western Region to a low carbon economy.
