Man charged with Boyle burglaries
A man has been arrested by Boyle Gardai and will appear at an upcoming sitting of Carrick on Shannon Court in relation to three recent burglaries in the town.
The alleged burglaries and a theft occurred prior to Christmas in a private residence, a business premises and at Boyle Railway Station.
Following investigations, Gardai from Boyle arrested and questioned a male in his late thirties who has since been charged with these offences.
He is due to appear before Carrick District Court on Tuesday January 21st.
Separately, Boyle Gardai carried out a drug search in the town last week.
A quantity of cannabis valued at approximately €200 along with a weighing scales was seized.
A file is currently being prepared on the matter for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
