Well done to Boyle ladies basketball team who defeated Torpedo’s in the ladies Shield final on Sunday in Boyle Sports Complex.
The Longford girls enjoyed the early part of the game due to poor free throw shooting by the home side only hitting 7 of 24.
At the half the score was 24 – 21.
Boyle dominated the game due to injuries to a number of Longford players.
Boyle speed and movement of the ball cause many problems for Torpedo defence who continued to foul, this led to 3 players fouling out.
Boyle’s young guns controlled the game when they needed and in the end were deserving winners.
