Congratulations to Boyle driver Jeff Gunning and his co driver Jarlath Dodd from Ballindoon who finished 6th in their class in Sunday’s Sligo Stages Rally.
Jeff who runs Gunning’s Auto Repair in Deerpark in Boyle was driving a Toyota Corolla in Class 16.
Their 6th place finish is a creditable result on their first outing.
Another Boyle based crew were also high in the overall standings.
Ciaran Phelan and his daughter Aine came 2nd in their class (11F) and 37th overall out of an entry of 113 crews.
Unfortunately Cormac & Katja from Team Faac Simply Automatic had to retire after stage 3 with a gearbox issue.
