National recognition has been making it’s way to Roscommon town in the past few days.
The well known Abbey Hotel was first off the blocks when it won the Luxury Hotel of the Year Award for County Roscommon awarded by the Luxury Travel Guide.
The Greally family run hotel received their Winners Badge on Monday.
Also on Monday Roscommon Tidy Towns Committee (pictured) won their second consecutive Silver Award at the National Tidy Towns Awards Ceremony in Dublin.
In Ireland’s Tidiest Village category at the awards Castlecoote and Keadue were both awarded Gold Medals.
Ballintubber and Cloontuskert received a Bronze Medals in the village category.
27 towns and villages in Roscommon entered this year’s awards.
