Club Rossie award banquet Friday
The cream of Roscommon football will be honoured on Friday at the 2015 Club Rossie Awards Banquet, sponsored by BNP Paribas Real Estate, which takes place in the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone.
Proceedings will get under way at 8pm and the Banquet will also feature the presentation of Medals to four victorious teams from last year. The Senior Football Team will receive their FBD League and Allianz League Medals, the Under 21 Football Team will receive their Connacht Championship Medals, the Senior Hurling Team will receive their Nicky Rackard Cup Championship Medals and the Minor Camogie Team will receive their All-Ireland Medals. After the presentations and Dinner attendees will dance the night away, with live Music by “The Lols”.
The following will receive Awards on the night:
Male Handballer of the Year: Ricki O’Gara (St Comans).
Female Handballer of the Year: Fiona Tully (St. Comans).
Senior Club Hurler of the Year: Micheál Kelly (Four Roads).
County U-21 Hurler of the Year: Cathal Dolan (Four Roads).
County Minor Hurler of the Year: Eoghan Costello (Padraig Pearses).
County Minor Footballer of the Year: Richard Hughes (Roscommon Gaels).
County Ladies Player of the Year: Jennifer Higgins.
County Minor Ladies Player of the Year: Niamh Feeney (St Marys).
Senior Club Ladies Player of the Year: Aishling McAuliffe.
Senior Club Footballer of the Year: Cathal Shine (Clann Na nGael).
Intermediate Club Footballer of the Year: Andrew Glennon (Michael Glaveys).
Junior Club Footballer of the Year: Niall Lynch (Shannon Gaels).
County Camogie Player of the Year: Susan Spillane (St Dominics).
Senior Club Camogie Player of the Year: Annette McGeeney (Athleague).
Junior Club Camogie Player of the Year : Aishling Beirne (St Dominics).
Special contribution to Scór: Alice Mannion.
Hall of Fame: Frank Kenny.
The winners of the four remaining Player of the Year award; Senior County Footballer, Senior County Hurler, Senior Under 21 Football and Minor Camogie Player, will be announced on the night.
