Large crowds at Moone Boy night
St. Joseph’s Hall was the venue Saturday night for the “Moone Boy – The Blunder Years” signing and Italia 90 night.
Chris O’Dowd and Nick Vincent Murphy read extracts from the book and fielded queries from the floor.
“Who was the best actor in Moone Boy?” “Who was the worst actor?” and other probing questions were answered by the capable duo.
Cast members also spoke on stage of their involvement with the popular series.
Ex Republic of Ireland goal keeper Packie Bonner then made his entrance with members of Boyle Celtic U12 soccer team.
Packie joined Chris on stage with the young players for a brief chat before the famous Italia 90 game was shown on screen.
Following more book signing, photographs and autographs it was down to the more serious business – a ’90’s disco!
All who attended the night spoke in glowing terms about Chris, his wife Dawn, Packie Bonner and all associated with Moone Boy series for the friendly way they mingled with the public in what was a memorable night in an enjoyable weekend.
