A decision has yet to be made on who will take up the Boyle Municipal area vacancy on Roscommon County Council, left vacant by the election of Eugene Murphy to Dail Eireann.
Mr Murphy was elected in May 2014 as one of three councillors to represent the new Boyle Municipal area on the Council.
Following his elevation last Friday, a replacement candidate must now be sought to replace Mr Murphy.
The next Council meeting which will take place in three weeks time will be the first the selected individual can attend.
