Up to 20 jobs will be lost when a company closes its distribution depot in Roscommon town.
In a statement to Shannonside FM, Berendsen says that it announced the proposed phased closure of the plant yesterday because it is unsustainable.
It says that the closure is subject to a 30-day consultation process that will commence shortly with affected staff and their union representatives and will run until October 21st.
The German company, formerly Spring Grove, claims the news is no reflection on its loyal and hard-working staff.
The plant distributes linen, towels and hygiene equipment to businesses in the region
