A Centenary commemoration committee was formed to mark the turbulent period from 1914-1923 and in particular to commemorate those natives of Ardcarne Parish who lost their lives in this decade.
The committee consists of May Moran, Kieran O’Conor, Tony Bambrick, Geraldine Leydon, Padraig Harte, David Gillespie, Gerry Conlisk, Martina Moffatt, Helen Smyth and Brian Conlon.
I f any body has any relatives who were natives of the Ardcarne Parish who died in the 1914-1918 war – the Great War; who died or served in 1916; who died in the War of Independence 1919-1921; who died in the Civil War 1922-1923; please contact Fr Brian Conlon at [email protected] or the Presbytery, Cootehall.
