Following a request from Boyletoday.com, Roscommon County Council this afternoon issued a statement in relation to the closure of an International Protection Accommodation building on Green Street in Boyle:
“On foot of a number of queries received by Roscommon County Council, the local authority can confirm that on Thursday the 13th February a Closure Notice was served on the building under the Fire Services Act by the Fire Authority”.
“The 14 residents have been relocated by the International Protection Procurement Service (DCEDIY) to a centre in Galway”.
“The Roscommon County Council Local Authority Integration Team (LAIT) have informed the LAIT team in the receiving county of the relocation so that necessary supports are in place”.
