Thousandaire to launch tonight
Boyle GAA Clubs (Male Club and Ladies Club) have joined forces to bring the hugely popular “Who Wants to be a Thousandaire” show to St Joseph’s Hall, Boyle on 6th December.
The purpose of the event is to defray the repayment costs of the extensive infrastructural developments which have taken place in Abbey Park in recent years, and to help fund future developments in the grounds.
Nine major sponsors have come on board and work is progressing very satisfactorily in attracting advertisers. This will enable nine rounds of the quiz to be held on 6th December, with the opportunity for €1,000 to be won in each round, potentially a total of €9,000 could be won on the night.
This is the first time that such an event has been held in the North Roscommon area and it is generating massive interest.
The show is based on the popular television quiz show and it will feature “50/50”, “Ask the Audience “ and “Phone a Friend”. The show is fully computerised and is provided on behalf of the Clubs by Pallas Marketing Limited.
A Press Launch will be held on Wednesday at 8pm in Boyle GAA Clubroom in the Abbey Park, when details of the major sponsors will be unveiled, and further details of the show will be outlined.
Pallas Marketing Limited will be in attendance and a round of “Who Wants to be a Thousandaire” will be held, to give the attendance an idea of how the real event what the real event will be like on 6th December.
